I am working on a little side project: felted seating pads for our plastic Eames Chairs.
How I did it:
4 skeins (200 g) of Drops "Snow", needle size 9 mm.
Loosely cast on 54 stitches. Knit in garter stitch until the pad is approx. 48 cm in height. Bind off all stitches and fasten thread ends.
For felting: wash the seating pad at 40°C using a detergent without enzymes nor bleach. Afterwards, stretch the seating pad to the correct size while still wet. In future, wash the seating pad on a normal wool programme.
Dimensions:
Before felting, the seating pad is approx. 52 cm x 48 cm.
After felting, the seating pad is approx. 33 cm x 35 cm.
It fits perfect to our Eames Chairs. Yay!

Liebe Happy Knitters Ich arbeite an einem kleinen Nebenprojekt, und zwar gefilzte Sitzpolster für unsere Plastik-Eames-Stühle.
Wie ich es gemacht habe: 4 Knäuel (200 g) Drops "Snow", Nadelgröße 9 mm. 54 Maschen locker anschlagen. Krausrechts stricken, bis das Sitzpolster ca. 48 cm hoch ist. Alle Maschen locker abketten und die Fadenenden vernähen. Zum Filzen: Das Sitzpolster bei 40°C mit einem Waschmittel ohne Enzyme oder Bleichmittel waschen. Anschließend das Sitzpolster in nassem Zustand auf die richtige Größe dehnen. In Zukunft das Sitzpolster mit einem normalen Wollprogramm waschen. Maße: Vor dem Filzen beträgt die Sitzfläche ca. 52 cm x 48 cm. Nach dem Filzen beträgt die Sitzfläche ca. 33 cm x 35 cm.
Es passt perfekt in unsere Eames Chairs. Juhuii! Viel Spaß beim Stricken! Yanick
