DROPS Alpaca Bouclé is a lovely effect yarn spun in superfine alpaca. Its fibres are untreated, which means that they are only washed and not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. This highlights the fibre’s natural properties, while it also provides a better shape and texture quality.

“Bouclé” is the French word for a loop and it refers to the number of small loops of pure alpaca that give the ball its characteristic look and that enhance the softness of the fibre. Spun from 2 strands, the core is a blend of wool and nylon that help give the yarn strength. Garments made in DROPS Alpaca Bouclé are light and fluffy.

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé contains some mixed colours, this means the wool is manufactured by carding the colours together before spinning, which gives it a mixed effect.

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé ist ein herrlich weiches Effektgarn, das aus Alpaka superfine gesponnen wurde. Die Fasern sind unbehandelt, das bedeutet, dass sie vor dem Färben lediglich gewaschen und nicht chemisch vorbehandelt wurden. So erhält man die besten Eigenschaften der Faser und gleichzeitig ergibt sich eine bessere Form und Textur.

„Bouclé“ ist das französische Wort für Schlinge, und dies bezieht sich auf all die kleinen Schleifen aus reinem Alpaca, die dem Garn sein charakteristisches Aussehen geben. Das Garn wurde aus 2 Fäden gesponnen.
Der Bindefaden ist aus einer Mischung aus Wolle und Polyamid und verleiht dem Garn Stabilität. Aus DROPS Alpaca Bouclé gestrickte Stücke sind leicht und luftig.

DROPS Alpaca Bouclé umfasst auch einige Mixfarben. Diesen Effekt erhält man, wenn man vor dem Spinnen verschiedene Farben beim Kardieren mischt.
