DROPS Lima is a 4 strands sport yarn, the continuation of our bestseller DROPS Nepal. Made from a combination of 65% Peruvian Highland wool and 35% superfine alpaca, its fibres are untreated, which means that they are only washed and not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. This highlights the fibres’ natural properties, while it provides also a better shape and texture quality.

DROPS Lima is perfect for outdoor garments like classic Norwegian sweaters and sportswear, that are usually knitted tight for good shape stability. Hard-wearing and durable like any great wool yarn should be, it has also the lovely properties of the alpaca, being soft and comfortable. A sport yarn with a touch of luxury!

DROPS Lima contains mixed colours, this means the wool is manufactured by carding the colours together before spinning, which gives it a mixed effect.

DROPS Lima ist eine 4-fädige Sportwolle, mit der wir die Linie unseres Bestsellers DROPS Nepal ausbauen. Sie besteht aus einer Mischung aus 65% Peruanischer Hochlandwolle und 35% Alpaka superfine. Die Fasern sind unbehandelt, das bedeutet, dass sie vor dem Färben lediglich gewaschen und nicht chemisch vorbehandelt wurden. So kommen die natürlichen Eigenschaften der Garne am besten zur Geltung und es ergibt sich eine bessere Passform und Textur.

Lima eignet sich besonders für Outdoor-Kleidungsstücke wie klassische Norwegerpullover, die wegen der Formstabilität mit Vorteil etwas fester verstrickt werden. Bei dieser strapazierfähigen Qualität wurde Schurwolle mit den wunderbaren Eigenschaften von Alpaka veredelt. Kurz: eine Sportwolle mit etwas mehr Luxus!

DROPS Lima umfasst auch einige Mixfarben. Diesen Effekt erhält man, wenn man verschiedene Farben beim Kardieren mischt, bevor das Garn gesponnen wird.
